Snugzeez is an Australian based business that manufactures baby comforters.

Snugzeez came about from one horrible night when the founder of Snugzeez, Josslyn, found her baby daughter Amy in distress with her muslin wrap pulled tightly around her neck.

Josslyn had been using the traditional method for transitioning from wrapping/swaddling by just giving it to my daughter to hold. However, Amy was at the stage of moving about her cot and had become entangled in her wrap.

Josslyn decided there must be a better and safer way to wean her from the wrap.

Josslyn designed Snugzeez by using the materials that her baby already associated with sleep- her wrap.  Amy had been wrapped in Muslin during the warmer nights, a bunny rug for the cooler evenings, and covered with a baby’s blanket.

Josslyn had observed Amy playing with her toys and discovered that she loved playing with knots, rabbit ears, and labels. She combined all of these to create Snugzeez.

Josslyn placed Amy’s Snugzee down her top for the first night to catch her scent and then gave it to Amy as part of her sleep routine. Amy took to it right away and the wrap was gone for good. Bedtime is not an issue anymore as Amy has the comfort that she needs in her Snugzee cuddling it as soon as we tuck her in.

Josslyn hopes that Snugzeez helps many more babies like Amy have the snuglier way to sleep.  

Kelly, as the new owner, thought that this was a wonderful idea and has taken over the hand making of these innovative products.
